General Description

Email has become one of the most pervasive technologies in the workplace, so it is important to be able to utilise, track and manage it effectively. With Microsoft Outlook's email component, a powerful tool is at hand.

Target Audience

This session is intended for participants with very little or no skills using the email component of Microsoft Outlook.

Pre-requisites

Participants should have basic mouse and keyboard skills.

  • Access email folders in Outlook
  • Use the basic operations of Inbox to send, receive and reply to email
  • Organise mail into folders
  • Format messages to stand out visually
  • Discuss the nature of email attachments and viruses in relation to Microsoft Outlook
  • Attach files to emails
  • Access Outlook's Contacts database to find and store email addresses and contact information
  • Access on-line help
  • Check the spelling of an email message
  • Create an Auto Signature
  • Request a message receipt
  • Assign an importance to an email
  • Archive mail messages
