Skillgate Learning Centres have developed a range of assessment strategies that provide ample opportunity for learners to demonstrate their competency. All assessment instruments and processes ensure that the key principles of assessment: validity; authenticity; sufficiency; and currency, are adhered to.
In line with the AQTF (Australian Quality Training Framework) Skillgate has implemented a moderation process, which evaluates the appropriateness and effectiveness of assessment processes and tools.
Assessment strategies are developed in conjunction with client specifications and needs and allow for both on the job and off the job assessment.
Learners are also encouraged to apply for recognition of current competencies for those units for which they currently hold competencies regardless of how the skills were developed.
Skillgate is an accredited testing centre for ICDL (International Computer Driving Licence). Skillgate is also an accredited Microsoft Office Specialist testing centre.
